There have been some changes with the local cloth nappy incentive schemes recently.
Both Bristol City Council and South Gloucestershire Council have decided that funding is limited and they have to make changes. As a result they are no longer able to fund Resource Futures who have been running the scheme for offering talks, free loans, demonstrations and the range of free, impartial advice/support services which they have widely publicised. Obviously Friendly Baby is here to fill the gap for talks and demonstrations and free impartial advice and support.
South Gloucestershire Council have also decided that they can no longer afford to fund the voucher scheme, however issued vouchers will continue to be redeemed by South Gloucestershire Council for the next year. If you are one of the lucky owners of a now-rare South Gloucestershire Council Real Nappy Voucher for a £30 rebate when you spend £50 in one transaction on cloth nappies then don't delay and make your claim as soon as possible before funds are completely depleted.
The good news is that Bristol City Council are still continuing with their voucher scheme, so residents within the area of this council may still be issued with vouchers for £30 off a £50 spend. What an incentive to choose cloth!

Mamascarf on TV
We are pleased to be stocking the brilliantly designed Mamascarf breastfeeding scarf. It is a revolutionary new design that not only allows mothers to breastfeed stylishly and discreetly, but also provides essential support without the need for a cushion. The Mamascarf can be worn as a scarf, or neatly folded away. It even comes complete with a hidden pocket to store your breastpad.
We are even more excited to announce that if you watch Working Lunch tomorrow (Friday 20th March 2009) at 12.30pm on BBC2 you will get to see the creator and owner of Mamascarf demonstrating this amazing new product. Don't forget to tune in!
