Weather Disruptions as at 30th November

Friendly Baby is based just north of Bristol. We've had a light sprinkling of snow but nothing worth writing home about. This means that orders are being dispatched in our usual timely fashion though deliveries may be delayed dependent upon snow in your area or en route.

All standard delivery parcels weighing under 1kg are sent by Royal Mail First Class post. All express delivery parcels weighing under 500g are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery post. The following is a statement from Royal Mail regarding delays due to the snow on 30th November 2010.

"The winter weather continues to have an effect on our UK network with major parts of Scotland and Northern England affected. Our overnight air services were particularly disrupted and details are shown on our regional pages. Deliveries have also been disrupted in mainly northern areas. While the weather forecast remains uncertain it appears that snow is likely to affect further parts of the country.

The areas most affected by the conditions continue to be Scotland and North East England, although this may change as the weather conditions develop.

Deliveries and collections will only be attempted where it is safe for our people to perform them. We will get services running normally again as soon as we are able to do so safely."

All standard delivery parcels weighing over 1kg are sent by Parcel Force 48. All express delivery parcels weighing over 500g are sent by Parcel Force 24. The following is a statement from Parcel Force regarding delays due to the snow on 30th November 2010.

"The adverse weather conditions are continuing to affect deliveries today in much of Scotland, the East of England (Northumberland, Durham, Yorkshire, Humberside, and Lincolnshire), Peak District, Mid and North Wales. Furthermore, snow spreading further South and inland overnight may impact on deliveries today in the following rural areas: East Midlands, East Anglia, Essex and Kent.

Our drivers are again out delivering in all areas today and doing their utmost to provide as normal a service as possible, but there may be some reduction in our ability to perform deliveries today which may unfortunately result in having to suspend these in some areas."
